A Fix for Social Security
Social Security is projected to run out in 2032, that’s just 7 years away. Enter the Social Security Expansion Act. The Social Security Expansion Act will increase Social Security benefits and will ensure long-term solvency. It will give us an across-the-board annual benefit increase. It will pay for this by getting rid of the cap that allows the super-rich to avoid paying into the system. It will solve this problem.
Tell Congress to get on the stick.
Don’t buy claims that we can’t afford it. In 2019 the United States had a 2019 annual income in excess of $30 trillion and 2019 wealth in excess of $120 trillion .
In 1983 when Social Security was reformed national income was $3 trillion and household wealth was $9.5 trillion.
These numbers are adjusted to take out inflation.
